US Navy Carrier Program

Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG)
The Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) program for the US Navy is the next generation arresting gear system, moving forward in tandem with the CVN-21 naval carrier aviation program.

The AAG will first be fielded on the new CVN-21 class carriers, and then back-fitted onto existing CVN-68 Nimitz class carriers. The AAG system will significantly improve the arresting capabilities of the Navy's carriers while simplifying operations, maintenance and supportability requirements, as well as reducing overall life-cycle costs.

ESCO lends it's experience and expertise to a team of top companies, led by prime contractor, General Atomics. The team is rounded out by Foster-Miller, Inc., Curtiss-Wright Electro-Mechanical Corporation, John J. McMullen Associates, Inc. (ALION) and the EDO Corporation.

This strategic multi-year program opens a potential new business segment for ESCO as a key supplier to the US Navy while expanding the company's worldwide leadership in aircraft arresting systems.
